Junior

Wembley Lacrosse is a leader in junior lacrosse recruitment and development in Western Australia with over forty-six new junior players registered this year alone.

Wembley welcomes all young players, whether or not you have played modcrosse in school, or part of a school-based team.

Wembley has a good relationship with local schools and involve students in lacrosse clinics as part of their school-sporting curriculum. We have developed a program, which is suitable for all age and skill levels from year four to year eight. Our coaches come to your school with all the equipment needed to hold a clinic and we teach basic skills and rules and then let the students have a short modified game.

For further information contact our Junior Coordinator:

Kevin McRae (mobile) 0408 553 287 (email) kevin@global.net.au

Equipment

Wembley Lacrosse will supply you with basic equipment needed to get you started. We encourage members to purchase their own equipment after the first season so new players have the opportunity to access gear. We have good connections with suppliers to ensure the lowest price is available.

Playing for Wembley Lacrosse

Our lacrosse season starts around April and ends in September with Club Registration in February. Precise starting dates vary from year to year.

If you are an overseas or interstate player we will endeavour to assist you in finding suitable work and accommodation. Accommodation may be with one of the members who will require reasonable assistance with rent and payment of bills. You will be expected to pay for your own food and living expenses.

Wolves (men) are expected to train twice a week (Tuesday & Thursday) and Waves (women) Thursday. If you are a senior player, we would hope that your skill levels and experience will enable you to play in the top grade. This will be subject to a selection process conducted by the head coaches John Denic (Wolves) and Dennis Banyard (Waves).
