Catch women's lacrosse with the Wembley Waves!!!

In 2008 we joined forces with the Wembley Lacrosse Club after notching up forty one-years, making us the oldest (but not the fuddy-duddiest!) outfit in the women’s competition. We have an awesome history of premierships across the grades, and with coaches like Dennis Banyard, ex-Australian player and experienced State coach, and Sarah Forbes, captain of the 2005 World Cup-winning Aussie team, we're working to stay on a high for a long time yet.

In 2007 the Waves fielded five teams – A-grade (Minor Premiers and Runners-up), two A-reserve teams (Fire and Storm, Fire taking the Premiership), C-grade (Runners-up) and D-grade (Years 4-7). We’ve players from eight to, let’s say, fully matured!

Womens Lacrosse Game

New players, even if you can’t tell a lacrosse stick from a crab net, are always welcome!

Training is Thursdays at Floreat Oval, alongside the Wolves – Juniors at 5.00pm and Seniors at 6.30pm. We play Sundays, April through to September, most games at Light Street Reserve, Dianella, with some at Floreat and other venues. Lacrosse sticks available for hire. Email us or give us a call!
